The latest Reel Play Poker game by Microgaming
Microgaming, a leading online casino software provider has released a different version of the video poker game, called the Reel Play. This comes after Power Poker which introduced multi hand video poker and Level Up which had sequential hands with multiplied payouts.
The Reel Play Poker is a video game with slots twist which can be accessed by a separate tab from the video poker section of the games menu. Selection of the number of paylines, coin numbers per payline and coin size is done by the players. The first Reel game is in the Jacks or Better variant and has 20 paylines, with players wagering up to 20 coins per payline.
The Deal button is clicked after setting the betting parameters. Below the main reels is a demonstration reel, with five cards being dealt from a single deck as in a normal video poker hand. The player can make his own choice in cards although the Microgaming software marks cards that should be held as optimum strategy. On marking his holding cards, the player clicks the spin button thus moving onto the main reels.
The main reels with three rows are laid out like a five reel video slot with 20 paylines, with reels corresponding to the held cards being filled first. The remaining reels are filled in randomly after being spun. The video poker hands are evaluated in all 20 paylines, and not just in horizontal rows. The hands as in slot games are formed by the crisscrossing of paylines across three rows.
Corresponding to coin numbers per payline, each of the 20 paylines is independently evaluated. Therefore the payout table will be automatically adjusted if a player has wagered 10 coins per payline. The player’s balance is credited with the accumulated payouts for each winning payline. 16,000 coins is the maximum payout for a royal flush with 20 coins per payline. This becomes 320,000 coins, which is the game’s maximum, if all the 20 paylines have a royal flush.
